Part 1 — Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are between

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Faith Practice LLC ("Faith Practice," "we," "us"), a Massachusetts limited liability company located at 16 Warner Street, Dorchester, MA, 02124, governing your access to and use of the KairosReady application and related services ("KairosReady" or the "Service") during its beta.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Notice in Part 2. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use KairosReady. The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. By using it you confirm you are 18 or older.

3. What KairosReady is

KairosReady is a practice tool for conversation skills. You hold simulated conversations with AI-generated characters in order to practice and receive coaching. The characters are fictional and are produced by artificial intelligence. They are not real people, and nothing they say represents the views of any real individual.

4. Beta status

KairosReady is provided to you as an early beta. That means:

• It is provided "as is" and "as available," and may contain errors, change significantly, or become unavailable without notice.
• Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time.
• We may suspend or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time.
• You should not rely on the Service for any critical purpose.

5. Your account

Account creation and sign-in are handled through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@kairosready.io if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

6. AI-generated content and important limitations

KairosReady uses artificial intelligence to generate character responses and coaching. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and it should be treated as practice material, not authority.

KairosReady is not a source of professional, pastoral, theological, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for real pastoral care, counseling, or professional support. If you are in distress or crisis, please reach out to a qualified person or a crisis line in your area rather than to KairosReady.

7. Your content

"Your Content" means what you put into the Service, including the things you type or say during practice conversations. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Faith Practice a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service to you — for example, to generate character responses, produce coaching, and maintain your practice history — as described in the Privacy Notice. We do not currently use Your Content for any purpose beyond running and improving KairosReady, and we do not use it to train AI models. If we ever want to use Your Content for a new purpose — such as helping build a future model — we will ask you for your explicit, separate permission first, and it will always be optional (see Privacy Notice, Section 7).

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or harm others;
• attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or copy the Service's prompts, character designs, frameworks, or underlying systems;
• attempt to break, overload, probe, or circumvent the security of the Service;
• misrepresent the AI characters' output as that of a real person; or
• upload content you do not have the right to share.

9. Our intellectual property

Faith Practice owns the Service and everything in it that we created, including the KairosReady platform, the instructional frameworks, the character designs, and the coaching system. These Terms do not give you any rights in our intellectual property beyond using the Service as intended during the beta.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by the Privacy Notice in Part 2, which explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and Faith Practice is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of a beta service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in the app and, where required, ask you to re-accept. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Part 2 — Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Faith Practice LLC is the controller responsible for your personal data when you use KairosReady. Contact: support@kairosready.io, 16 Warner Street, Dorchester, MA, 02124.

2. What this covers

This notice explains what personal data KairosReady collects during the beta, why we process it, who helps us process it, and the choices and rights you have.

3. What we collect

• Account information — provided through our authentication provider Clerk: your name and email address, and basic sign-in records.
• Conversation content — the messages you type and, where voice features are used, the audio you speak and its transcript, plus the coaching and feedback generated from your practice.
• Usage and technical information — basic logs such as time of access, device and browser type, and how you interact with features, used to operate and improve the Service.

4. Sensitive information and your explicit consent

KairosReady is designed for practicing spiritual conversations. Because of this, your practice conversations may reveal your religious or philosophical beliefs, which is treated as a special category of personal data under data-protection law (including the GDPR).

We process this content only to provide the Service to you, and only with your explicit consent — which you give as part of signing up. That is what you are agreeing to here and now, not at some later point. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting support@kairosready.io, after which we will stop processing that content going forward and, on request, delete it (see Section 12).

5. How and why we use your data, and our legal bases

6. AI and third-party processors

We use trusted service providers to run KairosReady. They process your data only on our instructions and under contractual data-protection obligations:

• AI language processing — provided by OpenAI, under a Data Processing Addendum with Faith Practice. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models, and retains it only briefly for safety/abuse monitoring (up to about 30 days) unless a zero-retention configuration applies.
• Speech-to-text (where voice input is used) — provided by Inworld and Google (Cloud Speech-to-Text and the paid Gemini API). Google does not use data sent through its paid services to train its models.
• Text-to-speech (where voice output is used) — provided by Hume.
• Authentication — provided by Clerk.
• Hosting and infrastructure — provided by Railway (backend, database, and file storage) and Vercel (website hosting and analytics).
• Error monitoring — provided by Sentry, which receives technical error details so we can find and fix problems. It is configured not to receive your conversation content.

We maintain a current list of these providers and will provide it on request at support@kairosready.io.

7. Whether your conversations are used to train AI

We do not use your practice conversations to train AI models. We use them only to run and improve KairosReady for you, and we never sell your data. If this ever changes, we will ask for your explicit permission first, and it will always be optional — declining would never affect your use of the Service.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your account information and conversation content for as long as your account is active. If your account becomes inactive for three years, we will email you and then, after a grace period for you to return, anonymize or delete your data. You can ask us to delete your data at any time before that (see Section 12). Security and usage logs are kept for a shorter period, 12 months.

9. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers above, and only as needed to run the Service — or where we are legally required to disclose it.

If Faith Practice is acquired or shuts down. If Faith Practice is acquired by, merges with, or transfers its business to another organization, your data may pass to that successor as part of the whole company — but only on the condition that the successor is bound by these Terms and this Privacy Notice and continues to handle your data for the same purposes. This is not a sale of your data on its own; the entire company transfers together. Any later material change to how your data is used would still require notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent again (see Section 14). If Faith Practice instead shuts down without a successor, we will delete your conversation content and account data rather than sell or transfer it. We do not treat your data as a standalone asset to be sold, in any circumstance.

10. International transfers

Some of our providers (including OpenAI) process data in the United States and other countries. Where your data is transferred out of your region, that transfer is protected by recognized safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

11. How we protect your data

We use technical and organizational safeguards including encryption, access controls, and restricted, logged staff access to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact support@kairosready.io. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the timeframes the law requires.

13. Children

KairosReady is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us at support@kairosready.io and we will delete the data.

14. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the Service develops. If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will notify you by email or in the app.
